How to Create a Group or Cause
First of all you must register with the site and become a member, either as a model or a friend. Your valid email address is required and it will be kept confidential. You should then upload your profile image – what we call your “avatar” – and set your privacy settings, letting the system know who can see your profile, who can private message you, and when, if ever, you want to receive emails.
Then you must join the group “Causes to Support”. It’s easy to do, you just click on the group and click on the Join link. That’s it – no approval is required.
Please check the list of Groups, or search or the group, so that duplicates aren’t created. Your favoite group might already exist!
Then click on the main Groups link and click on the Create a Group link.
Please title the group appropriately – use a real non-profit groups’ official name, list their website and their mission statement.
When creating a new Group, the parent group is “Causes to Support” and for Member Groups, please choose “only Group Members”.
Next please check the box “Enable group reviews” so others can discuss your group, and make the group a Public Group.
As for “Group Invitations”, “All group members” should be allowed to invite others to join the group.
Please do upload a group logo as the “avatar”, and crop or resize the image. Often group logos can be found on the Not-for-profit groups’ website.
